Van Oosten delivers Cervélo-GOODZO first victory in Essen
Koert van Oosten claimed a first victory for the Cervélo-GOODZO Development Team in Essen (Belgium). The U17 rider from Gouda was the fastest on his Cervélo S3 after a race of nearly 50 kilometres. Also Arno van Krimpen en Joris Buters finished in the top ten on a fifth and seventh spot.
Van Oosten was already optimistic about his chances before the start. “I felt good”, he explains. “Therefore, I attacked immediately in the first round. Initially, I didn’t get much space, but I was more successful the second time. I was in front with two other riders and we worked well together. Behind me, Arno van Krimpen, Lars Rouffaer, Lars Seldenthuis and Joris Buters controled the peloton.”
The three escapees soon got a lead of a minute. Eventually, they competed for the victory. “With 500 metres to go, there was a moment of doubt. I took the lead and started sprinting around 200 metres to go. Fortunately, I could hold the lead.”
By doing so, Koert van Oosten took an early victory. “The previous races went well, but not excellent. Fortunately, everything came together in this race. I could win with the help of my team mates. This victory gives me confidence for the next races. I’m really looking forward to the classics!”
Second victory

Cervélo-GOODZO was also successful in the Netherlands with Noël Rokven. The Youth rider sprinted to the victory in Huijbergen. By doing so, Cervélo-GOODZO has already two victories.
